چکیده

We have used unitary chiral dynamics in a coupled channel approach to solve the Faddeev equations for different two meson-one baryon and three meson systems. We have found many resonances in the strangeness S = 0,−1 and 1 sector which can be identified with many of the 1/2+ states listed by the Particle Data Group (PDG). In concrete, in the strangeness S = 0 sector, we have studied the ππN system and its coupled channels and we report three N states, N(1710), N(1920), N(2100) and one ∆ resonance, ∆(1910), with JP = 1/2+. The state at 1920 MeV is not listed by the PDG and it was predicted by the authors of [1]. In the strangeness S =−1 sector, we have solved the equations for the πK̄N system and its coupled channels and we find four Σ’s and two Λ’s, in the 1500−1800 MeV region, as two meson-one baryon S-wave 1/2 resonances, which correspond to all the low-lying S = −1 and JP = 1/2+ states listed by the PDG. We have investigated the possibility to generate dynamically states with S = 1 in the πKN system and we have observed a broad structure around 1700 MeV with a width of 200 MeV which could be observed in reactions involving the πKN channel in the final state interaction. We have also studied three meson systems like φKK̄, φππ and J/ψKK̄, J/ψππ and found, in the first one, dynamical generation of a resonance with φ f0(980) structure, JPC = 1 and a mass around 2150 MeV, which can be identified with the X(2175) resonance and, for the second one, a peak close to 4200 MeV which can be identified with the Y (4260) state observed by different experimental groups

Interactions between heavy mesons and Goldstone bosons from chiral dynamics

We calculate the S-wave scattering lengths for charmed mesons scattering off Goldstone bosons and explore their quark mass dependence using chiral perturbation theory up to next-to-leading order as well as a unitarized version of it. The quark mass dependence of all scattering lengths determined in a recent lattice calculation can be reproduced by the unitarized version. We also discuss signals...

Chiral Symmetry and light resonances in hot and dense matter

We present a study of the ππ scattering amplitude in the σ and ρ channels at finite temperature and nuclear density within a chiral unitary framework. Meson resonances are dynamically generated in our approach, which allows us to analyze the behavior of their associated scattering poles when the system is driven towards chiral symmetry restoration. Medium effects are incorporated in three ways:...

The melting of zigzag, armchair and chiral single walled boron nitride nanotubes (SWBNs) investigated using molecular dynamics (MD) simulation based on Tersoff-like many body potential. The MD simulation has been employed in the constant pressure, constant temperature (NPT) ensemble. The temperature and pressure of the system were controlled by Nose-Hoover thermostat and Berendsen barostat, res...

Nature of the f0(600) scalar meson from its Nc dependence at two loops in unitarized chiral perturbation theory.

By using unitarized two-loop chiral perturbation theory partial waves to describe pion-pion scattering we find that the dominant component of the lightest scalar meson does not follow the qq dependence on the number of colors that, in contrast, is obeyed by the lightest vectors. The method suggests that a subdominant qq component of the f0(600) possibly originates around 1 GeV.

Meson resonances from unitarized meson scattering at one loop in Chiral Perturbation Theory

We show the results for the scattering poles associated to the ρ, f 0 , a 0 , K * , σ and κ resonances in meson-meson scattering. Our amplitudes are obtained from the complete one-loop meson-meson scattering amplitudes from Chiral Perturbation Theory. Once unitarized with the Inverse Amplitude Method, they describe remarkably well the data simultaneously in the low energy and resonance regions ...
